Frequently Asked Questions

Do we need socks?

Yes

The requirement for socks forms part of our health and safety risk assessment. Socks must be worn by all children and adults within the play area for the following reasons:

  1. Hygiene Control – Socks act as a barrier between feet and shared play surfaces, reducing the transfer of sweat, skin particles, and potential infections such as verrucae or athlete’s foot. This helps maintain a clean and hygienic environment for all users.

  2. Injury Prevention – Wearing socks helps minimise the risk of friction burns, blisters, and abrasions that can occur when skin comes into direct contact with slides, mats, or climbing surfaces. Non-slip socks are particularly effective in reducing the risk of slips and falls.

  3. Equipment Protection – Socks reduce wear and tear on play equipment by preventing toenails or bare skin from snagging or damaging netting, mats, and padded areas.

  4. Consistency of Safety Practice – A clear socks-only policy supports a safer play environment and ensures all visitors are subject to the same hygiene and safety standards.

How do I book?

We are asking everyone to book via the booking page on this website. If you don't book online, you won't guarantee your admission.

Is there an age limit?
Children aged 7 years and under are welcome to enjoy our soft play area when accompanied by an adult. Unfortunately, we do not allow older children in this space, as the play frame is specifically designed for those aged 7 and younger. This policy helps us create a better experience for our younger guests.

We do permit supporting siblings to accompany the younger children, but please note that this area is not designated as a play zone for them. Supporting siblings can be booked as accompanying adults. Thank you for your understanding!

Do you have parking?

We have limited free parking available at the premises - please car share where possible.

What are your opening hours?

We are open Mon-Sun: 9am-5pm all year round, apart from christmas day and boxing day when we are closed.

Are pushchairs, prams and buggies allowed?

Yes of course - we allow pushchairs, prams and buggies into iPlay but please note that they are NOT allowed onto the softpadded area of the sensory room.

What happens if I am late to my booked session?

Your session starts on time, with or without you. We cannot guarantee that you can rebook to a later slot. If we are at full capacity you will lose the time you are late.

Do you have wheelchair access?

There is wheelchair access to the building on the ground floor situated in iPlay that is accessible to wheelchairs.

Please note that wheelchairs are not allowed onto the softpadded area of the sensory room.

Can I bring my own food?
